James " Jimmy " Thomson
Was manager of Swansea Town 1927/31,apparently he was Scottish. I cannot find any information on him, where he was born and when, clubs played for and managed etc. He led Swansea Town on a historic tour of Spain and Portugal in 1927 where they beat Real Madrid 3-0.

How long was he at Queen of the South Wanderers? I know he won his only cap whilst their in March 1889, I believe he also played for the English league team when he was down south.

Hi,thanks for the replies, from 1940/46 Bob was a clerk in an office and appears to have been out if football entirely, in early 1946 he was coaching in Norway,,i cant find anything on this,maybe it will be mentioned in the Dutch book,in 1946/47 he was at Sporting Lisbon,he was in the channel island...

Thanks for the replies,great spot snuff of the rugby posts,I didn't see them. Hi mad Mac,that's what I thought. I live in Portugal and I've showed the photo around,no one recognises it. Apparently at this time there were not many football fields with grass in Portugal. The coach also worked in Norway and Holland, the goalkeeper looks like he comes from there more than Portugal
