Re: Clydebank's Record Attendance

Thanks for that David. The Evening Times lists the Easter Road 'estimated attendance' as 9,000. I assume that the 14,900 figure has originated from the club. Your second point was my next issue. Like I say that attendance has always been listed as Clydebank's record attendance, but if it's accepted ...

Clydebank's Record Attendance

As long as I've followed Clydebank their record attendance has always been listed as 14,900 for a Scottish Cup replay between ES Clydebank and Hibernian on 10th February 1965. However, reports in the Evening Times, Glasgow Herald and Clydebank Press all report the attendance as 11,500. I wondered if...

Re: Clydebank v Chelsea,1965/66

Is it possible the game in question is the one played on Friday 4th August 1967 at Kilbowie? I have the programme somewhere. I couldn't find a match report for it, but there is a brief preview on the day of the game in the Evening Times here.

19th April 1972

I’m doing a project on the evening of the 19th of April 1972, when Rangers played Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the ECWC and across Glasgow, Celtic played Inter Milan in the EC semi-final. I’d love to hear from anyone who has memories of that night. If you went to one of the games or if you wat...

Re: Debut hat-tricks

Kris Boyd scored a hat-trick on his Rangers debut versus Peterhead in the third round of the Scottish Cup on the 7th January 2006. I mind it cos I happened to be at that game. Wayne Rooney scored a hat-trick for Manchester United on his debut against Fenerbahçe in the Champions League on 28th Septem...

There was definitely a BBC cameraman at the Auchinleck-Fort William game. He said he was covering it for 'The Road to Hampden'. Not that I saw it on anywhere though.

I didn't find the HA book in the football section in Borders. It was on the upper first floor, just to the left as you go up the stairs. Presumably it would be in the football section as well though.

I was glancing through the Hamilton Accies Complete Record book in Borders last week. If that's the one you mean. The first game I was ever at involved Accies and I looked up the team for the day.
