He played for Aberdeen (1926-29), Liverpool (1928-30), Halifax (1930-32), Northampton (1932-33), Kidderminster, Darlington (1935-37), Worcester and Bath. Reported that he was born in Shettleston, Glasgow. Can somebody please help with when he was born? Maybe 1905 or 1907?

It is correct that he later was a painter and decorator. He died in Wishaw in 1947. Both birthdates are wrong. He was born in Motherwell in 1883. So c30 years when he played his last match for Aberdeen in 1913.
