The Weekly News used to have a column that was headed "Signed This Week " or something similar and gave you all league clubs signings not only transfer deals but signings from Schools , boys clubs etc.

The Evening Times is where I got my info from but Neil Browns UK transfer website does not list him so he couldn't have made a first team appearance. and I take it the 2 newmans are the trialists I was enquiring about. Queen of the South 63/64

Would anybody know the first name of a Centre Half by the name of Cowan ,who played for Queens 2nd X1 in 63/64 season and also( this is a long shot) the names of the left back trialist and outside right trialist, who turned out for the 2nd X1 against Rangers Reserves at Ibrox on the 22nd February 19...

Dundee tour of Ireland 1966

Dundee made a short tour of Ireland in May 1966, I know they played Cork Hibs but don't know the result . Would anybody have the dates and scores of that tour ?

Aberdeen V Third Lanark 64/65 season

Would anybody have the date and score for this League fixture, the booklet I have with the scores has a misprint with Aberdeen playing Thirds & Celtic the same day (January 30th ) I know they definitely played Celtic on that date.

Trawling through Scottish Junior cup results from the early 1960s, I came across the name Drumlemble, further research tells me they were from Campbelltown, Does anybody know which League they played in ,and what other clubs were in that league ,as I never have came across a league table with Drumle...

Thanks for the replies, the info I had was ,it was a Rangers X1 and I did overlook the fact they had a 2ndX1 cup tie that same night Bluedragons post makes me tend to think it could have been postponed because of injury problems and scheduled later in the season.

The Old Firm played a league fixtures noon September 1972 at Hampden as there was a fault in Celtics new 1year old stand that engineers were fixing and an hour after the game finished Queens Park played their 2nd division fixture. I can't remember who against. I raised this question a few years ago ...
