Re: Switzerland vs Scotland in 1948

Thanks Alan. Sorry, one more question about the sub Bickel / Tamini. The Herald wrote in the Swiss lineup: ".... Bickel (replaced in the second half by Tamini) ....". Ok, this is clear. Sadly, as you know, my English is not so good and I am not able to understand The Herald that wrote in the match r...

Re: Half time subs 45th or 46th minute?

Hi William, I agree with your way. I like it so much and I would like to update my / RSSSF archives by it. The problem now is: after many years how can I do to know which were the substitutions on the HT (or ht, or h-t , ...) ? I think of replacing all 46 minutes with ht in the line-ups of Scotland ...

Scotland 1880s

Hello, two questions waiting Christmas Day. 1- ENGLAND - SCOTLAND 4-2 8th March 1873 : from Alan Brown page : "The 'International Fund' allowed only eight return tickets to London for this match, so three of the team were London residents." I am not able to understand well...the "return" were to Gla...

Scotland vs Northern Ireland 1980s

Hi, after the mach against Republic of Ireland I took a look to the playing career of their manager Martin O’Neill and I saw that I played for Northern Ireland and also scored against Scotland during the 1970/80s. I checked his caps against Scotland and maybe I found a mistake for the match Northern...

Scotland 1-0 Georgia 11th October 2014 Attendance

Hi,
I am here again to have your help to know the correct number of the crowd at Ibrox in the match of the past Saturday.
In the sources I have found numbers that jump from 35,000 to 48,000.
Why these data are often so different ?

Thanks for your help

Re: Scott Booth's Caps Total

Hi, maybe I'm the "problem" .... When I started the update of the huge work of Alan Brown I had SFA website as the main source and the sub exists in their website (but not in the archive of Alan). So I gave the cap to Booth in my and RSSSF archive. You are right, watching the highlights Jackson (num...

Scotland-Switzerland 3-2 6th November 1957

Hi, this time the doubt to solve is about Scotland opponents. I am updating Scotland lineups of the 60s and had a look to the lineup of Switzerland when Scotland defeated them at Hampden Park. I have found on eu-football.info that in the Swiss lineup of that match there is MARCEL VONLANDEN who also ...
