Absolutely right, Lisbon. The Scottish Cup, first played for in 1873-74, is the oldest football trophy in the world. It's on permanent display at the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm not sure yet what to do with the archived sfaqs (for the benefit of newbies these are questions and answers on Scottish football history that can be found on the main website) as there are over 300 of them and they're more one to one queries as opposed to forum topics...
