Fixture Quirk

Just looked at the English fixtures for next week, and the same teams are at home/away as were this week. Has this ever happened in Scotland?

Just looking at Celtic & Hibs in 1969, would this have been the last final before they went over to playing it in October or November?

McLeish and relegation

Interested to read that when he took over at Birmingham, they were 17th and ended up 21st. What position were Hibs in when he went there in 1998?

This match was said to clinch the Championship, but according to London Hearts website, Aberdeen were still top on goal AVERAGE. Anyway, the final game against Clyde was played at Parkhead, despite the stand being demolished and that was the final appearance of the Lisbon Lions, although Ronnie Sim...

Celtic also played Rangers there in the league but I can't verify the kick-off time. There was also a League Cup quarter-final play-off between Celtic and Dundee at Hampden that season but that wasn't a 'home' game for Celtic, it was an allegedly 'neutral' venue after the tie finished level over tw...

Hi there and welcome to the forum. There were 28,058 at the Dundee v Celtic League Cup Final in December 1973. Memory must be playing tricks, then.....probably looked much less in a Hampden that held 134,000 at the time. Am I remembering correctly about the Celtic - Arbroath game? Didn't they also ...

And in the League Cup: Celtic HOME 1972-73 4,914 Arbroath Although it was a Celtic home game, wasn't this game played at Hampden because Celtic were rebuilding their stand? On a League Cup related note: Final Replay December 12th 1979 at Dens Park, Dundee The first match attracted just 27,156 - the...
