Commentator

Could anybody tell me the name of the commentator in this match from his voice?
Thanks for any help:

Re: Hibs v Airdrie play-off footage

I certainly don't remember it being televised live, but I thought there might have been cameras present.
Thanks in any case.

Hibs v Airdrie play-off footage

I was wondering if anybody knew of any footage available online of the Hibs v Airdrie play-off matches from 1997? I've looked on youtube and done a google search, but nothing has come up. The Aberdeen-Dunfermline and Dundee United-Partick Thistle games are on youtube.

John Burridge for Hibs in 1991? I don't know what age he was, but he might have been over 40.

Re: So, farewell then, Hearts

Sorry, David, I appreciate the civil tone on here, but lbb's "persistence" with this subject, which is blatantly nothing other than bitterness about Rangers' demise, is basically trolling.

I won't rise to the bait again. I'll follow Rangers' fortunes for my petty-minded pleasures.

Re: So, farewell then, Hearts

Another begging letter from the administrators. Strange that the administrators are turning down bids from Nottingham Forest yet claiming they might only have money to last until November, if they're lucky. If you were a 'neutral' corporate client, would you commit to taking your clients to a corpo...

Re: RScotland

The first two certainly were. Weir was a very good player but played for too many clubs to be considered a special bargain for any of them. As far as Rangers are concerned the best bargain for me goes back to Alex McDonald. Fifty grand got them thirteen years, 500 appearances and almost 100 goals. ...

Re: Record attendances of clubs that are past

I forgot all about that. Thanks. Nice to know I have such a lasting influence. BTW if Hearts were to meet Aberdeen in the final that would complete your full set. *Embarrassed look*. I was separated from your book for about six years after moving to Spain and I had forgotten that detail, not the bo...

No need: I was gifted it several years ago and read it...several years ago. Which is why I forgot all about that. Thanks.

Record attendances of clubs that are past

What with Hearts being drawn against Queen of the South, I thought winning the League Cup by beating Raith Rovers, Hamilton and Hibernian would be an ideal way to beat a team in each round whose record attendance we have helped set. And I wondered about St Bernard's record attendance and then I wond...

Re: Forfar

I'm anxious to hear lbb's gloating, scandalised perspective on this.

It was almost to be expected after the close shave in 1982.
Hearts lost to Forfar that year, too, though we weren't paying our manager 700K.

To all the little unattractive and unimaginative human beings with whom I grew up: GIRFUY.

Andy Bruce

I see on our friend wikipedia that Andy Bruce retired from football aged 23 after playing for Rangers, Partick Thistle, Hearts and Morton, making a total of six competitive professional appearances. Does anybody know what he did after retirement? And the thread was about the percentage of appearance...
