Scottish Cup Semis

Did Rangers really win 21 scottish cup semis in a row from 1972 until last season or is my counting rubbish?

Re: IMPORTANT NOTICE - FUTURE OF THIS SITE

I'd love to help out too but simply don't have any time to commit. I really hope someone can be found to keep this brilliant resource going. I fully agree, Alan. I'd love to be able to take over in some capacity, but as I've said to David, I simply don't have the time due to my own site commitments....

Re: What To Do Against Gibraltar

I wonder if you'll find there's a rule in the junior rule book specifically to prevent juniors playing for the full scotland side.

Re: Fan Ownership

Fan Ownership. Funny old thing. Hibs are going through a process just now and 50% - a controlling stake, no less when taken with the 1% already held by fans - has been made available to fans to buy. But, as far as I can see the fans might "own" Hibs at some point in the future, the won't "control" H...

Re: SPFL & TV

This is a huge bug bear of mine. at one point something like 86 of 87 Celtic away league games were televised and over a five year period and more Hibs home league games were shown live than from Parkhead over the same period. Now, I think telly is a necessary evil for much of the reasons already gi...

Hearts ten up

So Hearts rack up double figures, on the back of Hamilton doing it last season in the Championship. I do believe the last time in the scottish football league is 1967! So, the question - has the scottish championship become the league with an outrageous gulf between the top and bottom teams or are t...

Half time subs 45th or 46th minute?

If a player comes on at half time does he come on in the 45th or 46th minute? My understanding of the 45th minute is that it runs from 44:00 to 45:00 and the 46th runs from 45:00 to 46:00, so my brain thinks that a half time sub is slap bang in-between the two. What do the distinguished panel record...

There's a bit about him in the first Lugton book IIRC - he left Hibs after it was discovered he was not a practising catholic which was a strict requirement to play for Hibs of that era.

Re: Storing Information.

Sounds to me David, you could save yourself some time and effort using Access to store your information on managers. If you already have Word and Excel, as far as I am aware Access is still part of the Office suite of software. It would certainly make interrogating the database a lot simpler. I don...

Re: A marvellous little device - Copycat Handheld Scanner

Tip for book scanning : find out if your nearest major library (public or university) has an overhead book scanner. You can probably then scan to USB without damaging it much. Tip for saving from Google Newspapers Archive : I wrote about this on another forum (as an answer to my own question): http...
