Sorry - reading this later on but..... How the hell did Darryl Broadfoot get a job as a sports journalist? Is he still there? (I don't read the Herald) My only regular paper purchase is the Observer and last week they showed a pitcure of McFadden celebrating his goal (our 2nd) against the Faroe Isla...

The recent German movie The Miracle of Bern about the West German team that won the 1954 World Cup starts with the main character (a ten year old boy) bemoaning the fact that year that his team would never win the Bundesliga. His team? Rott Weiss Essen. No German team would win the Bundesliga thoug...

Was at US v Czech Republic and the I thought that was a good game. The US were well organised but had no sharpness in the final 3rd and the Czechs scored some cracking goals against them - and also gave the impression that they could up a gear if required. Shame they didn't! Was also at the South Ko...

How are Gretna plans for a new stadium? With the squad they have next season they will be one the favorites to go up. If they opt for a temporary groudshare, what are the nearest SPL Standard stadium in the area? Kilmarnock and Carlisle in England. I've heard talk that if Hearts hold onto 2nd place...

The latest ones from Tynecastle http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/4832716.stm Yeah - should this thread not now be re-named as the "Rix - the ex manager of Hearts"? Some of the reasons given are shocking. I mean - was Rix responsible for signings? And the leaking ...

I ain't his biggest fan either - but did appreciate the improvement in organisation that he brought in.... However, I have no idea why he wasn't at Ibrox. Unless the 4 are a shoo in anyway. As well as the above - why is he naming squads containing players that have amassed about 20 minutes first tea...

Jim Duffy: Director of Football???
Well well well. Who would have thought that Mr Romanov would have installed a rookie as DoF? With a long term contract until the end of the season to boot!
I tell you - the lunatics are now running that asylum.

You exclaimed a "FFS"??? I was on a light pub crawl through Glasgow with my cousin from New Zealand - interspersed with some high brow stuff like museums and art galleries - when I saw the result flash up on screen in the Auctioneers. Whit!??? 3-0 to the Hibs!!!!! Later in the day, coming back on th...

Too late. The Arabs were jut too tempting for Brewster. I wonder how much compensation was paid? It was a simple and straightforward transfer - all tied up nice and quick. Seems to be a money spinner for ICT though. Rather than follow the usual strategy of unearthing young playing talent and selling...

As soon as I heard that Clyde had beaten Celtic it immediately confirmed it for me - McLeish is the luckiest manager alive. He still has a decent chance to win a trophy this season with his rank rotten team. No, not the European Cup.... I wonder if Hibs will spank them again though? It definitely is...
