Apologies for the site being down

That's two months in a row now this website has reached its bandwidth limit of 9.77 gigabytes. For some reason or other the traffic to the website seems to have doubled during January and February, not sure why.

Re: NLS Visit 2016?

That's five of us now. Was thinking the best month would be July after the Euros finish. We can thrash out a date later.

Re: Scoring in consecutive Edinburgh Derbies

Those White brothers (John and James) caused me endless frustration when trying to sort out their appearances for Albion Rovers in season 1919/20! Was glad that Jock moved on to Hearts ...

NLS Visit 2016?

Due to the success of the 'Fitba Crazy' event held at the National Library of Scotland last November, would any members of this forum be interested in attending something similar during the summer. Maybe this time we could focus on the newspaper archives. There must be a real treasure trove sitting ...

Re: French national library photo archive

After looking through the photos of the Celtic tour I discovered that I don't have the result of the first match of the tour. Anybody? The list of tours on the RSSSF website gives the results v Newcastle United the following day as 3-0 Celtic.

Re: French national library photo archive

That's a great resource Andy. Some of the searches I did came up with 'Match Magazine' which I assume was a French football magazine from that era. The Celtic team photo from the 1921 tour is one I hadn't seen before. Thanks.

We are back online!

There was a problem with the server for the past week. Apparently the site had reached the bandwidth limit. As we are into a new month now it has fixed itself. I do apologise.

Re: BNA Update

Does Find My Past give you access to all newspapers on the BNA? Was thinking it would be worthwhile subscribing if it gives access to both the BNA as well as cencus records etc.

Sounds like an amazing collection of books if they have 4,000! Enjoyed the article and photos relating to Vittorio Pozzo.

Re: Rangers v Third Lanark 07/05/1960

Thanks Andy. Yeah a strange season for Rangers, having a Poor end to their league campaign. They did have a reasonable campaign in the European Cup that season before being embarrassed by Eintracht Frankfurt.
