NLS Visit 2016?
Due to the success of the 'Fitba Crazy' event held at the National Library of Scotland last November, would any members of this forum be interested in attending something similar during the summer. Maybe this time we could focus on the newspaper archives. There must be a real treasure trove sitting there!

That's five of us now. Was thinking the best month would be July after the Euros finish. We can thrash out a date later.

Count me in for a return... allowing for holidays.

I'd be very interested in this too. Regularly use the NSL archives & those across the road at the Central Library.

I'd love to go along to this one as well chaps. Really enjoyed the last sojourn and it'd be grand to say hello again.

Re: NLS Visit 2016?
Update: Have now been in communication with Ian Scott regarding another visit to NLS and we are looking to fix a suitable date in August, for me preferably a Saturday morning on either the 6th or 20th August. Can anyone still interested in going post what dates are best for them. Thanks.
Re: NLS Visit 2016?
Sorry guys,
my daughter's wedding is in September and I've got to make the stag do in early August! I believe lazer tag (like Barney Stinson!), a pub crawl and a visit to a casino is the order of the day before the last/first train home. Where do these youngster's get the energy! I hope the casino part is over by 10-ish as I can think of a few of us who are getting on a bit.

I would prefer the 20th August.

I'm still very interested in this too. Happy to go with the flow re dates as I live in Edinburgh anyway & have plenty free time in my capacity as an "international Playboy" ,,,,,, (i.e. retired!).
