I had reason to revisit this thread looking for info. I never did ask David Bingham personally. He was a fairly aloof character and I barely even spoke to him in his time with us. However, with reference to the above:
1- Do we know for sure he got a medal with St Johnstone in 1990? He made one appearance on the final day of the season I believe.

2 - He was still with Livingston in 2000-01 when they won the first division. Is this deliberately not listed for any reason?

3 - He was still a Gretna player in their second division championship 2005-06 and first division championship 2006-07. Albeit for the former he fell ill just into the New Year and never featured after that (he still played 18 games though) and for the latter squad he managed just 3 games before being shipped out to Stirling to complete his rehabilitation.

4 - I think he was with Forfar Athletic when they won the 3rd division in 1994-95.

Potentially he has nine medals, no?

He also won promotion (not a title) with Stirling Albion too! Quite a career really.

Apparently David Graham is claiming to have won five league titles on the trot up to last season (and having newly signed for Dunfermline has half a chance of a 6th).
2003-04 Stranraer
2004-05 Gretna
2005-06 Gretna
2006-07 Gretna
2007-08 Hamilton Academical

Anyone confirm?

Graham would definitely have medals for 2004, 2007, 2008. The other two seasons are problematic as he only joined Gretna at the end of January 2005 and made just ten appearances, all as sub. He hardly featured the next season either. But if clubs are given twenty medals to do with as they please then he could well have the full set.

If he's claiming to have the lot then it sounds like it's time for someone to to utter the immortal words "show us your medals" to him.

Bear in mind clubs can also buy additional SFL title medals as they wish. I'd be fairly surprised if Mileson didn't ensure everyone at the club at the time got a medal, regardless of how little they played.

Any further light to shed on the Bingham issue. Could he possibly have NINE medals?

Don't know about that but you can definitely add Forfar as you suggested earlier. Bingham played every league game for them that season.

Further to this, and the fact that David Bingham has since been uncovered to have actually played a part in nine title winning sides (though the actual number of medals remains in doubt).

It's been suggested to me that Derek Collins has five medals, a 3rd Division one with Morton, 2nd Division ones with Morton, Gretna and Partick Thistle and a 1st Division one with Hibernian. I've no idea if it's accurate though.

Also, Stevie Tosh has played a part in at least six title winning campaigns though I think he only has four medals. He won the 1st Division with St Johnstone in 1997 and Livingston in 2001, receiving medals with both. He played Falkirk for the first part of their 1st division title winning season of 2003 but moved to Aberdeen in January and has publicly moaned about not getting a medal from Falkirk. He then won 3rd Division and 2nd Division ledals with Gretna in 2005 and 2006 before playing a significant part in the opening half of the 1st Division title campaign in 2007. He moved on to ourselves in January though and presumably didn't get a medal from Gretna.

Collins played for clubs in 6 championship winning seasons so it`s possible he picked up 6 badges but it`s all down to how the various clubs divvied up the gongs but I`d add him to the "5 WINNERS" list at least. He played 32 games for Morton in their 2nd Division championship winning side, 16 for Hibs when they won the 1st Division title in 1998-99, 12 for the Harry Wraggs in their 2000-01 2nd Division side, 36 for Morton in their 2002-03 3rd Division side, 7 for Gretna in their 2004-05 romp & 10 for them the following season when they won the 2nd division crown. He retired @ the end of the following season so missed Morton`s 2nd Division 2006-07 title charge.

The lack of a "set in stone" policy about who qualifies for medals in the SFL is slightly irritating in a statistical way because there so many maybe's and could have's involved in this subject. There's no way you can really know if players actually received a medal or not short of asking them.

I know Stevie Tosh fairly well incidentally so I will ask him whether he got one from Gretna in 2007. If he did he'll be in the five medals list. I know he didn't get one from Falkirk in 2003.
