Harrison was born in Greenock in 1911 & had played for Port Glasgow Juniors, Airdrie & Hamilton Academicals before joining Rangers.

Robert Nivison McGowan was born in Sanquhar on 2 June 1908, & played for Nithsdale W, Kello R, Carlisle U & Crewe before joining Rangers. While at Ibrox he spent a season on loan at Kilmarnock. After Rangers he played for Bournemouth, Queen of the South, Ballymena U, Dunfermline A & Kilmarnock. He died in Dunfermline on 14 May 1984.

During his loan spell with Kilmarnock in 1929-30 McGowan became the first Killie player to score five times in a league match when Killie beat Morton 7-2 on Feb 15th 1930. He also hit four v Airdrie in a 7-1 win exactly one month later. Overall he scored 18 times in 15 league matches that season to finish as top club scorer. His second spell at Rugby Park was in 1937-38 when he played in twelve of the opening thirteen league games, scoring eight times.

Michael Joyce's Players' Records book gives Bob McGowan as being born in Sanquhar in 1906.

In only two and a half seasons with Dunfermline he scored an excellent 54 goals in 74 league appearances, plus 6 more in 4 Scottish Cup ties, becoming the first player to score fifty goals for the club in the First Division. He was also the first Dunfermline player to hit four in one top flight match.
