Porn is bad for your brain, according to Shereen Nanjiani on Radio Scotland this morning.

Missing Shereen is also bad for your brain.

I've seen 150,000 quoted for a match at the San Siro in the mid-1980s. AC Milan, I think.
Do you know about that game?

Does this include all crowds larger than the largest Old Firm-only attendance?

Largest Old Firm only is 132,870, Scottish Cup Final, 1969, which is the 18th largest overall and sixth largest club match.

The San Siro has never had a capacity of more than 100,000. I've heard tales of 140,000 at the Bernabeu, which at 15,000 above maximum capacity, is more plausible, but has no effect on Scotland's European records. The only European match which could possibly have overtaken any of the Scottish figures is the 1923 FA Cup Final but the estimates that day are totally unreliable as the number of people on the pitch were not static and could easily have been counted twice.

I was always under the impression that the last 100,000 crowd was for the Scotland v. Czechoslovakia match in September 1973.

I should also add the four matches at Ibrox which drew more than 100,000

The league match v Celtic on 2/1/39 drew either 118,730 or 118,567 depending on which source you are looking at. It was a world record league attendance (superseding 94,811 for the same fixture on 1/1/37. Earlier than that is hard to tell given lack of info on matches beyond the UK and unverifiable figures of 83,000 & 83,500 for OF matches set against the verified gate of 82,905 for Chelsea v Arsenal 12/10/35.

16/19/48 Rangers v Celtic 105,000 League Cup sectional match

29/4/50 Rangers v Hibernian 101,000 Scottish League match

10/2/51 Rangers v Hibernian 102,342 Scottish Cup second round

Record (referred to as such, at the time) midweek attendance at Hampden (evening kick off):

Wednesday, 20th. April, 1932.
SC replay Rangers v Kilmarnock - 104,600 (Glasgow Herald 21/4/32).

Left out above because it was superseded by the Rangers-Morton replay which drew 131,975 (unusually for a replay, more than the first game). The first midweek 100,000 games was the 1930 final replay between Rangers and Partick Thistle (103,668). The Rangers-Killie match topped that with 105,695. As well as the Morton match these two subsequent replays drew more - Rangers v Aberdeen 1953 (112,619) & Rangers v Celtic 1963 (120,263).
