I notice the SPFL site has started to fill in match stats for older campaigns, implying the tantalising prospect that they could go back decades in time with the endeavour. Time will tell.
Meanwhile, forgive me if this has been covered before, but I'm looking for some advice.
Do the referees "match cards" (for want of a better description) exist in some sort of filing system held by the powers that be? Or anywhere else for that matter?
Like many on here no doubt, I'm grappling with the near impossible task of compiling every substitution on and off with timings, all the cautions, etc etc.
Has anyone ever made an approach to the SFL to ask for access to their records and, if so, what was their response?

It took me over ten years to be given access to attendance figures. Then again, the SFL no longer exists. What records the SPFL have kept of theirs I don't know. Perhaps the SFA Museum has some.Partick Thistle wrote:

The SFM has a lot of the old SFL stuff, I was allowed to go through the old registration records a couple of months ago whilst doing some QP research, the museum did want me to get confirmation from the SPFL beforehand saying that they were happy for me to have access to the records.

^ Thanks for the replies lads, I've taken those comments on board. I'll make an approach at some stage with hope rather than expectation. I would add that I recently had cause to e-mail the SPFL through the standard contact address and they handled my questions openly and with courtesy, referring my queries to the SFA disciplinary dept. before returning with an answer.
