Heriot-Watt University FC

I had it in my mind from a while back that there was a published history of Heriot-Watt University FC (seem to recall it was more a booklet than a book) but I have been unable to track down any reference in the likes of the National Library or National Archives. Now beginning to doubt my memory - maybe I'm getting mixed up with Edinburgh University FC. Can anyone advise if anything has ever been published on the history of Heriot-Watt University FC? I'm keen to tie down where they played & in what "League" from their formation date of 1945 up to their joining East of Scotland FA in early 1970's (I suspect it was probably in Amateur Leagues or possibly just in inter-university competitions).

There's an article in one of the 'Scottish Non League Histories' volumes produced by Stewart Davidson the 1990s. Can't recall anything else.

They celebrated their 70th anniversary in October, but it transpired during the organising they were actually founded in 1930s, so presumably some research was done.

It might be worth contacting the Heriot-Watt University Library as the booklet may be in the archive of the University's own history. Here is a link with some contact details.

Brian McColl's club list has them as Heriot Watt College 1945-1966 then Heriot Watt University 1966 - now. Joined East of Scotland League in 1971 and played at Paties Road before moving to the Riccarton Campus.

According to the index of the Scottish Football Historian there is an article on the history of Heriot-Watt University FC in edition 98 on page 18. Unfortunately I do not have a copy but you can purchase back copies.

They played at Paties Road prior to moving to Riccarton.

They played in the local amateurs before they joined the EOSL.

Only published source I have is George Campbell's Scottish University Football which covers then then 8 Scotish Univerisities.
