I think the Hibs winger for the U23s was Johnny McLeod who was later transfered to Arsenal and played in the ill fated 9-3game. I'm not near any reference at the moment and writing this on my phone, but I think Ally was still at Blackburn and would have been over 23.

The Glasgow Herald match report says the attendance was "about 12,000 spectators" and the referee was H Phillips (Wishaw).
