Post by EastJunior » Fri Sep 25, 2015 2:27 pm

This game at Hampden was postponed and eventually played later that year.

What was the reason for the postponent and does anyone have access to an online newspaper report that may cover the postponement>

The game was called-off because the Hampden pitch was unplayable, being frost-bound.

The decision to postpone the game was taken on Monday, 5 February, the (Glasgow) Herald archive on the google news archive:

Can you imagine the outrage if such a game was postponed nowadays?
