An awful lot of SFAQs on this site are Kilmarnock-related.

Fishy.

Looks like Steve is working on the match details of friendlies involving Scottish clubs.
How far do your records go back? I am always on the lookout for any Third Lanark
friendly matches I may have missed.

Thanks.

According to the Glasgow Herald and The Bulletin, the Kilmarnock goals were scored by Henaughan, Curlett, Jack (2) and Mays.
Curlett and Jack are not listed.

Steve,
Richard has written back: Killie played Admira Wien in two successive seasons at Rugby Park, on 7/4/54 and 9/11/55. I wrongly gave the 54/55 lineup. The 53/54 line-up was Brown, Collins, McLachlan, Russell, Thyne, Middlemass, Mays, Harvey, Jack, Curlett, Henaughan.

That should clear things up.

Bert Bell's "Still Seeing Red" has the line-ups for the Friendship Cup games v Rouen:
Home: Robertson, McGillivray, Caldwell, Robb, McCormack, Lewis, Goodfellow, Hilley, Harley, Gray, Fletcher
Away: Robertson, McGillivray, Lewis, Reilly (Robb), McCormack, Cunningham, Goodfellow, Hilley, Harley, Gray, Fletcher

Thirds lost both matches 2-1. Meyer(OG) at Cathkin & Cunningham in France were the scorers.

Same book has line-up v Nuneaton Borough:
Russell, Connell, Little, Harvey, Baillie (May), Stewart, McKay, Henderson, Fyfe, Kilgannon, Kinnaird (McLaughlin)

Thirds won 2-1. Fyfe & Henderson scored.

Thanks Steve, there were a couple of friendlies on there that I didn't have a note of.
A couple of additions:

18/09/1922 Huddersfield Town 1-3 (Jimmy Brownlie Benefit Match)
21/04/1923 Arthurlie 1-0

The Ireland tour of 1948 was a 3 game tour. Linfield (3-1) and Ballymena (5-1) were the other friendlies in addition to the one v Leinster League XI.
I don't have the dates of the matches, but I think the results came from Bert Bell's book.

Thanks for these Alan.

The Jimmy Brownlie Benefit is reported in the Glasgow Herald with both line-ups being given. The result of Arthurlie match, which was played away, is given in the GH.
I can find no trace of the 1948 Linfield and Ballymena tour games in the GH, I wonder if the dates are in Bert Bell's book? Perhaps David would oblige?

David, thanks for the line-ups from "Still Seeing Red". Are there any others given from friendly matches?

The result for the Leinster game is sandwiched between matches against Linfield & Ballymena. For 1954 there's mention of Accrington & Watford but not Rochdale. No more details.

v Reading: Petrie, Balunas, Archibald (Dundee), Adam, Samuels, Aitken, Henderson, Dick, Peat (Partick Thistle), McCall, Bradley. Thirds lost 2-1. Scorer: Henderson (11 mins). Book says this was a Festival of Britain Trophy match.

v Blackpool: Robertson (Ramage), Smith, Caldwell, Reilly, Cosker (Moles), Cunningham, McInnes, Goodfellow, Rankin, Gray, Fraser (I Hilley)

This match was the official opening of the new Cathkin floodlights.
Thirds won 3-2. Scoreres: Goodfellow (14), McInnes (35 pen), Gray (2nd half)
Crowd: 12,000
All subs at start of second half.
