The Scottish Professional Football League sponsored by BDO.

http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/hear ... ball-club/

BDO have been confirmed as the administrators at Heart of Midlothian Football Club.

The firm, which is also currently overseeing the administration process at Dunfermline Athletic, were formally appointed on Wednesday afternoon.

Valnetas UAB, the administrators of the company's major creditor Ukio Bankas, had made moves to appoint BDO after Hearts themselves had attempted to have KPMG appointed to the job.

We were "The Hearts" before we were Hearts.

Are any of the panel thinking of writing a book on the last few years in Scottish football? There's been more hustle and bustle than many periods.

I wonder how some clubs manage to appoint administrators of choice whilst others can't?

I think all these things need at least 25 years for all the gory details to come out, books which come out at the time are just full of quotes, you need somebody to dig to get what we really want to read. IMHO

Slip slidin' away. Still, money back if your horse finishes second. Not all bad.

1. Any person, business or football club has to get their law, their money and their facts right. Jamie McDonald has agreed to a pay cut and has not been sacked. Don't rely on The Daily Record for facts.
2. You don't have a club because, as Craig Whyte might have sung:

You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun
Crying like a fire in the sun
Look out the saints are comin’ through
And it’s all over now, Baby Blue

The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense
Take what you have gathered from coincidence
The empty-handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets
This sky, too, is folding under you
And it’s all over now, Baby Blue

All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home
All your reindeer armies, are all going home
The lover who just walked out your door
Has taken all his blankets from the floor
The carpet, too, is moving under you
And it’s all over now, Baby Blue

Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you
Forget the dead you’ve left, they will not follow you
The vagabond who’s rapping at your door
Is standing in the clothes that you once wore
Strike another match, go start anew
And it’s all over now, Baby Blue

3. Forever is a long, long time.

[Melchett]That's the spirit. If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.[/Melchett]

I never did have a club although whether I have a club or not would seem to be the least of your problems, as far as I can see.

I wonder if this is related to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and a number of irate ex-Jambos contacting their credit card company for a full refund.

http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/articles/2013 ... 84_3216088

Heart of Midlothian FC would like to advise supporters that it requires all purchases of season tickets, match tickets and hospitality packages to be made by cash or cheque.

This is necessary at the moment as the club is currently seeking to resolve a matter concerning credit card payments.

A musical interlude. I attended the Bruce Springsteen concert at the magnificent new Wembley Stadium last week. He sang this song which I think is now appropriate for those ex-Hearts supporters complaining over missold season tickets - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICqY2t7OGEI

As far as Scottish football is concerned I think it's safer to say that A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall as we trundle towards Desolation Row and eventually end up Knockin' On Heaven's Door.

Though Craig Whyte might prefer it if "tonight was not a crooked trail."

The Rangers oldco was fined £160,000 for going into administration and 'bringing the game into disrepute.' (http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rang ... an-by-sfa/)

There is an Internet campaign to ask the SFA when such fines and bans will be issued to Hearts. Polite emails can be sent to info@scottishfa.co.uk

Just to prove the point, it takes the Scottish Sun to show up today's Record for being, ahem, economical with the truth: http://www.thesun.co.uk/scotsol/homepag ... w-SFA.html
